Ding Presents ILLURE

By .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on February 17, 2012

Novatech is proud to support Ding’s production of ILLURE. We thoroughly recommend seeing this spectacular show when it premiers at this years Adelaide Fringe.

Seductive illusion, live music and soaring vocals merge with burlesque and dance to ignite the senses and thrill the mind. ILLURE is a spectacular potion of love and lust, woven together with a Parisienne flair that will leave audiences with a taste of vaudeville and the scent of desire.

If “ILLURE” was a book it would be a great ‘page turner’ with each chapter alluring audiences into a fantastic world of fiction and escape.

This unique production stars international female illusionist ‘Charli’, who has recently relocated to Australia following performances across America, New Zealand and Asia.

Vocalist Libby O’Donovan stars alongside a cast of four scintillating dancers showcasing her versatility, star quality, cabaret style and soaring vocal talent. The show includes an exciting blend of original music by Libby and Mark Ferguson along with songs made famous by artists as diverse as Sting, Edith Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald, Grace Jones and Leonard Cohen.

ILLURE features the skewered box, metamorphosis illusion, revenge escape, percussion dance, light illusions, compelling vocals, seductive contemporary dance, hand magic and a dash of audience interaction.

Where Were You 10 Years Ago?

By .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on September 03, 2011

Novatech Creative Event Technology celebrated its ten year anniversary in August and when I stop to reflect on our journey, I simply can’t help but smile.  Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine two brothers from Elizabeth, armed with nothing more than a boot load of enthusiasm and a relentless passion for quality live events, would grow their small family business into Adelaide’s largest production company.

The passion and commitment Menk and I share for our business is as strong now as it was all those years ago when we started out. Now days, we get to share it with our ever growing Novatech ‘family’ of unbelievably talented employees and incredibly loyal customers.  We simply can’t thank you enough for your continued support.

To mark the occasion we invited some friends to join us at the prestigious Rymill House in Adelaide for a private cocktail party. It was truly overwhelming to see so many wonderful people, who have contributed to the Novatech success story, come together in celebration.

As unashamedly proud South Australians, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to showcase some of the truly fantastic local products and services our great state has to offer. In addition to the amazing local food, wine and beer, one of the world’s hottest soul and funk acts, Lowrider, returned home to make a special guest performance.

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it on the night and in particular, to those who travelled interstate to mark this occasion.  We hope to see you all again ten years from now, at which time I’ll know where you were the ten years before!

On a personal note, Renae and I welcomed our gorgeous little girl Lily, into the world on July 20. I’m happy to report both mum and bub are doing well. As for me, well let’s just say the smile on my face is here to stay.

Leko Novakovic
Managing Director

Port Adelaide Back in Black

By .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on August 31, 2011

The Port Adelaide Football Club is the most successful Club in Australia, boasting an amazing 37 Premierships. Since establishment in 1870, Port has dominated South Australian football and judging by the success of their ‘Back in Black’ campaign, they have every intention of returning to the top.

As the official Audio Visual provider for Port Adelaide, Novatech worked closely with the Power’s Event Manager Tara MacLeod and her team in designing and delivering two events. One was held at the Allan Scott Power Headquarters and the other at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.  In addition to the technically demanding Audio Visual requirements, these events provided Novatech the opportunity to utilise our new crystal drapes.

Sensational 2011 Fashion

By .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on August 31, 2011

Vibrant colours and textured prints in clean cut tailored designs were the stand out pieces at the recent ASMF George Gross & Harry Who’s sensational 2011 Spring/Summer Collections show, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Novatech Creative Event Technology provide the lighting, video and audio production for the event. We’ve had the pleasure of working with the Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation (ASMF) over many years and as always, guests at this year’s event were treated to a night jam-packed with delicious food, wine and entertainment.

Funds raised on the night went to the ASMF Blanket Appeal, which purchase blankets for the homeless in South Australia.

Ice Cocktail Party

By .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on August 31, 2011

When Novatech Creative Event Technology was approached by Deb Budich from dbusiness and Julian Burton to assist with the 2011 Julian Burton Burns Trust Ice Cocktail Party, the brief was simple…  We needed to deliver the ‘cocktail party of the year’. The event took on a whole new meaning once we’d heard the story of a single parent family, struggling with the medical needs of 12 year old burn victim, Dylan.

Novatech provided extensive production elements, not only to transform the new Adelaide Oval members function room into an ‘ice wonderland’, but also built a spectacular reveal for the 7 seater car that was given to the family.  This gift was realised from money raised by the Julian Burton Burns Trust through the generous sponsorship of corporate business in South Australia.

Video, Video, Video

By .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on August 17, 2011

July and August have been very busy for the team in the Video Production and Content Creation Department with several video shoots and many motion graphic presentations currenty in production.

Working with Coopers, Lion Nathan and Carlton United Breweries our video team has been out and about shooting videos for the AHA|SA awards night in August. The project involved location shoots at CUB’s new distubution centre, several hotels in Rundle Street and part of the production involved the use of a green screen studio that was contructed at Novatech.

The SA Lotteries Agency Excellence Awards, Business SA Export Awards, Heart Foundation Paint The Town Red Auction Dinner and Australian Hotels Association Awards are just a few of the screen presentations recently produced at Novatech. All presentations are heavily video based and were created using Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro.

RLM-W8s added to Barco Inventory

By .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on August 17, 2011

Novatech Creative Event Technology continues to expand their vision department by adding two Barco RLM-W8 projectors. The 8,000 lumen high definition 3 chip DLP projectors have been added to Novatech’s existing Barco inventory that consists of FLM-HD20, CLM-R10 and RLM-G5 projectors as well as Encore and Screen Pro 2 presentation systems.

The Barco RLM-W8s offers the saturated colours of three-chip DLP whist adding enhanced contrast, almost silent operation and low energy consumption. Along with their built in warping capabilities and blending technologies the RLM-W8s are very versatile projectors allowing breathtaking images across a wide range of applications.

Steven Kennedy of Novatech’s Audio Visual department said “Barco have created an awesome projector that is robust and reliable. The image quality is crisp and the colour recreation is amazing. The built in features of warp and twist are industry leading and will allow us to project onto curved surfaces with ease”

Although very happy with the image quality of the W8 Novatech had concerns in regards to its flying and rigging capabilities. The lack of suitable fly ware made the projector not 100% suitable for applications in the rental market. To combat this issue Novatech produced a custom flying bracket based on that of the Barco R10.

The inaugural event for Novatech’s RLM-W8s saw both projectors on the road to the Gold Coast for the Officeworks national conference at Sanctuary Cove Resort and gala dinner at Warner Bros Movie World.
